• This week the Livingston-Park County Public Library will host a Teen Summer Reading event, The Terrors of Livingston Treasure Hunt, at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19. Students in grades six through 12 are welcome to participate in this free program. Teens will meet at the library before heading on a choose-your-own adventure Treasure Hunt downtown. On Friday, the library will present Mr. E’s Magic Show from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., as part of the Ready, Set, Read Summer Reading Program. Kindergarten through fifth-grade students and their parents are welcome to this  event, which is also free. For more information, call the library at 222-0862.

• The Gardiner Area Resort District Board of Directors will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on  Tuesday, Aug. 2, upstairs at the Gardiner Visitor Center, located at 216 Park St. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, go to the website www.gardinerresorttax.com.

• The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts’ annual Spotlight Gala will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Shane Center. In addition to entertainment and refreshments, there will be performances by the Absaroka Winds and the Swingley Jazz Trio. The gala will also feature the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are $75 and are available at www.theshanecenter.org. RSVP by Aug. 15.
