Emergency workers used the Jaws of Life to free two occupants of a vehicle that officials said struck the sign post at the Verizon store parking lot on Park Street in Livingston.

Two people were taken to the hospital on Monday night after a single-car accident on West Park Street in Livingston, according to a press release from the Livingston Fire and Rescue Department.

At approximately 11 p.m., a southbound vehicle on Park Street lost control and struck the sign post at the Verizon store parking lot.

Four agencies - Livingston Fire and Rescue, Park County Rural #1, the Livingston Police, the Park County Sheriff’s Department - responded to the accident. The departments had to use the Jaws of Life to remove both the driver and passenger, who were taken to Livingston Health Care “with undetermined injuries,” the release said.
