Traffic delays expected for Mill Creek Road work

Beginning Monday, May 7, construction crews will begin work on the Mill Creek Road Surface Preservation Project.

The project is located about 16 miles south of Livingston on Mill Creek Road, beginning at the intersection with U.S. Highway 89, east for approximately 11.6 miles, ending east of the Snowbank Trailhead parking lot, according to a new release from Riverside Contracting of Billings.

Initial work will include crack sealing and patching the 5.7 miles of paved surface, and repairing and reconditioning the gravel surface, followed by placing an aggregate surface course. Trucks will be hauling materials to the project from Livingston during this time.

Travelers can expect single-lane traffic and anticipate up to 30-minute delays through the project. Work-associated delays will be ongoing Monday through Friday and continue for about four weeks.
