Summer kicks off local library reading celebration

“Build a Better World” Summer Reading Celebration begins this week at Livingston-Park County Public Library with fun programs for all ages. The Children’s program will run through Aug. 2 on Tuesdays for kindergarten through second grade and

Wednesdays for third through fifth graders from 1:30 - 3 p.m. Additionally, there will be two special family events: A puppet show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday,  and “Drumming Around the World,” at 6:30 p.m. July 12.

The teen program runs 6-weeks, starting on Thursdays evenings, 6:30 - 8 p.m., for sixth through 12th grade students. Each week will feature a fun and creative service project. Other programs include Clean up Livingston!, International Food Fair, and three mini-golf workshops culminating in a miniature golf course competition at the Library on July 30.

Lastly, adults can join the fun by playing the “Build Your Library” Game which runs throught July 31. Participants can pick up a game sheet at the library
