A local sporting goods store has a new name and new owners, as of April 23.

Christopher Blueher and Erica Stone purchased Yellowstone Gifts & Sports — located at 106 W. Park St. in Livingston’s Yellowstone Park Gateway Mall — from Myron and Bev Kovash, and renamed it Yellowstone Sporting Goods.

It was a natural move for Blueher and Stone, longtime Livingston residents, since Stone had served as the store’s general manager.

“It’s pretty much been my store anyway,” she laughed.

No big changes are planned for the business, and the staff remains the same.

“We’re going to continue to operate as a full-line sporting goods store,” Stone said.

She added that Yellowstone Sporting Goods will place more emphasis on outdoor goods, and they are planning to bring in paddle boards, better swimwear and expand their river shoes choices.

“We’re having freight arriving daily,” Stone said.

Yellowstone Sporting Goods’ hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week. It can be reached by calling 222-5185 or emailing For more information, visit the business’ Facebook page.

Stone said she and Blueher are “definitely looking forward to being a positive part of this community,” which she praised as an “amazing” town.
