Planning Board to meet Thursday

The next meeting of the Park County Planning and Development Board is at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 21,at the Clyde Park Rural Fire Hall conference room. Board members will discuss the proposed public decay ordinance. The draft is on the county website on the Planning Department page. The public may weigh in on decay countywide.


School news

• Shields Valley School has one three-year term open for trustee positions in the May 7 election. The position is currently held by Dale Dominick.

To be placed on the trustee ballot, pick up forms and get other information from District Clerk Rhonda Lahaye at the Shields Valley Elementary School office in Wilsall.

All forms must be filed with her by Thursday, March 28. For more information call Rhonda Lahaye at 578-2535

• After 28 years with the Shields Valley Schools, Alan Peterson, elementary principal, teacher and coach, is retiring at the end of this school year. A retirement party for him will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Clyde Park Community Center.

• Shields Valley Parent Teacher Conferences will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at both schools.


Senior potluck

The Shields Valley Senior Citizens potluck dinner starts at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Senior Center in Wilsall. There will be special music and readings.


Church news

Larry Petersen, a representative of Trans World Radio, will be the guest speaker at the 10:45 morning worship service Sunday, March 24, at the Wilsall Community Church.


Craft group

The craft group will not meet Wednesday, March 27, at the Shields Valley Senior Center in Wilsall.


Guests, visits

Nathan Sarrazin and Sara Rimmereid from Minneapolis recently spent a week with his parents Bill and Lori Sarrazin. While in the area they also visited other family members and friends.


School schedule

• March 21: Parent/teacher conferences are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• April 4: Kindergarten screenings are from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Wilsall school.
