Fremont to celebrate 90th birthday in Clyde Park

A 90th birthday celebration for Duane Fremont is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at his home at 402 Park Avenue in Clyde Park.

“Come Play in the Dirt” is planned to take place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Hoyem Ranch at 383 Shields River Road north of Wilsall. It will be a day for families to plant seeds, learn some farm science and play in the dirt. There is no age limit but children must be accompanied by an adult. It is suggested families bring ice cream buckets or gallon milk jugs for planting. For more information and to reserve a spot, call Patti at 578-2134.

Build a Better Wilsall Foundation meeting is at 6 p.m.

Monday, June 11, at the Shields Valley Senior Center in Wilsall.

The Shields Valley School Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13,

at the Wilsall school multipurpose room.

The Women of Wilsall met Monday evening at the home of Arlene Gee. They finalized concessions food for the rodeo and plans for the parade.

The rodeo parade theme is “Hard to Miss.”

Each year the Women of Wilsall organization grants a scholarship to a Wilsall woman.

The amount of the scholarship varies from $100 to $500, based on our current financial condition. Candidates must have completed two semesters or three quarters at a two or four year college or university to be eligible for this scholarship.

The Wilsall Vets Club and Auxiliary held their monthly potluck supper and card party at the Shields Valley Senior Center Monday evening.

A Spring Egg Hunt for children ages zero through eight was Saturday at Holliday Park in Clyde Park. Prize winners for ages zero to four were Autumn Barnes and Kai Gilmour; and for ages five and above the winners were McKenna Scheele and Alysha Swanson. This event was sponsored by the Clyde Park Women’s Club.


Winners of the June 5 Senior Citizens card party were Georgia Hogenson, first; Patti Vennes, second; Marie Smith, low; Jean Landers, traveling.
