Shields Valley Farmers Market season kicks off

The Shields Valley Farmer’s Market starts Monday, June 6, at 4:30 p.m. at Holliday Park in Clyde Park. Special music for the evening is by Eve Dunkel.


Upcoming events

• A bridal shower for Justinn Marshall, fiancée of Kody Lahaye, is planned for Sunday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at the Shields Valley Senior Center in Wilsall. They are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, and Target.

• County Commissioner Clint Tinsley will be in Shields Valley Friday, June 3. He will be at the Old Wilsall Hardware Deli from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., and at the Town Hall in Clyde Park from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. 

• The Clyde Park City Council meets Monday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall in Clyde Park. 

• A benefit to help with medical expenses for Errol Vincent is planned for Friday, June 10, at 6 p.m. at the Clyde Park Rural Fire Hall on U.S. Highway 89. There will be a barbecue and live auction. Donations to the auction may be left with Nancy Gilbert at the Gibson-Cassidy House in Clyde Park. Tickets for a quilt raffle may be purchased from Nancy Gilbert, Dennis Wertz or Sharon Jones. They are $1 each or six for $5. There is also a benefit account at the Clyde Park Bank of the Rockies.


Club news

• The Wilsall Vets Club and Auxiliary thank all who helped put out flags at the Wilsall Cemetery. Some of the crosses that go at the base of the flag poles are missing. Anyone with information about them may contact Leslie Chambers or Georgia Hogenson.

• The Women of Shields River Lutheran Church met Thursday afternoon at the church. Those who attended the tour of the Livingston Food Resource Center reported that it was very informative and would encourage others to take a tour. The pie social at the church will be Sunday, June 26, in honor of fathers, and the block party is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13.


Church news

“Building Lives For Christ” is the theme of Vacation Bible School at Shields Valley Bible Church in Clyde Park June 13-17. It is for children kindergarten through sixth grade and runs from 9:45 a.m. through noon.
