The Shields River Lutheran men will hold a waffle supper starting at 5:30 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the church in Wilsall.

Events

• Women of Shields River Lutheran Church are doing missions quilting from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the church in Wilsall. They will be cutting blocks and sewing quilt tops to get a jump start on the quilt making week next January. Workers are invited to bring something for a potluck lunch that day.

• The Bobcat Brass Trio will perform at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at the Wilsall school gym. The public is welcome,

• The Shields Valley United Methodist Church will hold their annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper starting at 4 p.m. Feb. 13 at the church in Clyde Park. Free will donations will be accepted.

• The Shields Valley FFA Alumni meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the high school in Clyde Park.

• The Shields Valley third grade class has been studying famous inventors. They will have a wax museum of these inventors from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the school gym in Wilsall. Bring loose change to watch the inventors come to life.

• The Shields Valley School Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the Wilsall school multipurpose room.

• The Shields Valley Senior Citizens potluck dinner starts at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the senior center in Wilsall. There will be special music and readings.

Club news

• Wilsall Vet’s Club and Auxiliary held their monthly potluck dinner meeting and card party Monday at the Shields Valley Senior Center.

• The Women of Wilsall met Monday evening at the home of Chris Arthun. They finalized the plans for the St. Patty’s Day dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17. It will be a benefit for Chuck (Cindy) Dallas. There will be the usual pie silent auction as well as a regular auction. More details will come after their March 5 meeting.

Reminders

• Anyone with blood pressure monitors or nebulizers from the Shields Valley Health Clinic that are no longer being used, please return them to the clinic.

• Anyone needing to borrow walkers, crutches, shower stool, canes, and the like may contact Jean Skillman at 578-2570 to get them from the Shields Valley Senior Center.

School Schedule

• Feb. 8: The junior high girls basketball teams start playing with Livingston Sleeping Giant Middle School at 4:15 in Clyde Park.

• Feb. 9: The high school basketball teams start playing at 2:30 p.m. with the girls junior varsity in White Sulphur Springs.

• Feb. 10: The elementary girls basketball teams start playing with Ennis at 10 a.m. in Clyde Park.

Feb. 12: The Bobcat Brass Trio Band will perform at 9:30 a.m. in Wilsall.

• Feb. 14: The third grade Inventor’s Convention Wax Museum is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Wilsall gym.

• Feb. 15-17: The District Basketball Tournament is at Manhattan Christian. The junior high girls play in the Sleeping Giant Middle School Tournament in Livingston.

• Feb. 15: This is an early release day with students eating lunch at school and buses running at noon.
