SGMS student tests positive for COVID-19
A Sleeping Giant Middle School student was confirmed positive for COVID-19 Monday, according to the Livingston School District’s COVID-19 online dashboard.
The case appears to have been contracted while quarantined at home, the dashboard said, and no other students have been deemed close contacts.
There are 29 students and staffers across the district quarantining or isolating because of COVID-19, according to the dashboard.
The state of Montana’s COVID-19 case map reported nine new cases in Park County Tuesday, bringing the county to 841 total cases during the pandemic and 124 active cases.
Overall, Montana has reported 77,947 COVID-19 cases, 7,951 of which are active.
There have been 895 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Montana, four of which were Park County residents.
