Boys

Who?

The Lone Peak Bighorns

When?

7 p.m. on Friday in Gallatin Gateway

Previous matchup

Rebels - 56 Lone Peak – 39

What’s at stake?

Distance. A win over the Bighorns would distance the Rebels from White Sulphur Springs. The Rebels currently sit in fourth place in the 11C conference and might need losses from West Yellowstone to move up in the conference, but every game is important at this point in the season. The Rebels found momentum over the last couple weeks, consistently playing quality basketball games. But a tough loss to Asbarokee where the offense struggled leaves question marks moving forward. Shields Valley likely wants to fall back into that groove of good basketball.

Girls

Who?

• The Lone Peak Bighorns

• The Roberts Rockets

When?

• Lone Peak: 5:30 p.m. on Friday in Gallatin Gateway

• Roberts: 7 p.m. on Saturday at Shields Valley High School.

Previous matchup

Lady Rebels – 39 Lone Peak- 29

Lady Rebels - 42 Roberts – 39

What’s at stake?

Breathing room. If the Lady Rebels beat the Bighorns it would put them two games ahead of Lone Peak and put them within striking distance of Gardiner for third place in the conference with the postseason fast approaching. Against Roberts, the Lady Rebels can work on consistency on the offensive end as they’ve been prone to scoreless streaks.
