Park falls one point short against Columbus, 36-35

Park High wrestling fell one point short of winning last night’s dual match against Columbus, losing 36-35. 
With the first three matches being decided by forfeit (Park winning two and Columbus winning three), Park’s 138-pound Eric Bair was pinned in the second round by Nate Goddard. Park’s first win came when 145-pound Victor Howieson pinned Eduardo Pantoyo with 1:18 left in the first round. 
After Park’s 170-pound Tyler Laverty pinned Troy Fiscarde in the first round, 205-pound Shane Gibson went the distance against Columbus’ Mike Davis, eventually winning 12-1. 
Park will compete again at Fergus, Friday and Saturday.
