Park County organizations nominated for ‘Best of Bozeman’ lifestyle award

Despite being over 26 miles away, a few Park County businesses were nominated in the “Best of Bozeman” contest through BoZone Magazine.

This is the 16th year of the competition, judged on the magazine’s website to find the most loved things of Bozeman and surrounding areas. Neptune’s and Katabatic were both nominated for “Best Brewery” while  the Shane Lalani Center for the Arts for “Best Live Theatre.” Chico

Hot Springs and Resort was part of “Best overnight or weekend getaway” along with Yellowstone National Park.

BoZone Publisher Glenn Chamberlin said Tuesday there are always nominations for  businesses, nonprofits and activities outside of the Bozeman area because they are still  of interest to readers.

“The contest should really be called ‘Best of the BoZone’,” Chamberlin said.

There are over  100  categories including “Best Hangover Cure Food” “Best Place for a new traffic light” and “Best use of taxpayer money.”

Chamberlin said the winners of each award receive a certificate and a blue ribbon hand delivered by him. He also adds to the experience by playing we are the champions.

“They should win a million dollars, shouldn’t they?” he joked.

The survey for the “Best of Bozeman” is located on the BoZone.com or  bestofbozeman.com and will be open until midnight on April 15. The results will be available by May 1.
