Aaron Schuerr paints the Yellowstone River and DePuy Spring Creek in Paradise Valley on Monday morning. Schuerr is painting with oils and returns to the location to work on the painting when the light is just right. He then paints for about an hour and a half, until the lighting has shifted too much. “If the sun is even remotely shining, I’m painting,” he says. His work can be seen at and at the Montana Trails Gallery in Bozeman.
