The Enterprise news staff works to cover every facet of city, Park County, and state news - whether it be community happenings, school, government, sports, agriculture, environment, business, churches or features about local people and events.
Since The Enterprise is a member of the Associated Press, it also prints state, national and world news. Likewise, the AP picks up Enterprise stories of statewide interest and distributes them on its media network.
In addition to local news, The Enterprise news staff produces a number of special sections throughout the year featuring local sports, schools, hunting, car care, weddings, home improvement, Christmas, and the annual visitor's guide. Also, a weekly TV schedule is included in every Thursday Enterprise.
If you have any news item that would be of interest to Park County readers, please contact one of our news staff.
We want to hear from you!

John Sullivan, Editor and Publisher

Sullivan has been with The Enterprise for 40 years. A native Montanan, he is a graduate of Stanford University and also serves as president of Yellowstone Newspapers, The Enterprise's parent company, which also operates newspapers in 12 other Montana communities.

Justin Post

Justin Post, Managing Editor

Post joined The Enterprise in 2013 after working more than 10 years as a beat reporter covering city and county government, crime, corruption and the outdoors. His journalism experience includes more than five years as a staff reporter covering the environment and city-county government at The Montana Standard in Butte and reporting in north Idaho and the Youngstown, Ohio, area where he grew up along the Mahoning River.

Dwight Harriman, News Editor

Harriman began work for The Enterprise in 1992. Before coming here, he was editor of The Terry Tribune in Terry, Mont. Harriman graduated with a bachelor of arts in English from Asbury College (now Asbury University) in Wilmore, Kentucky, in 1977.

Jackie Evans-Shaw, Community News Editor

Jackie Evans-Shaw joined The Enterprise in February 2021. Evans-Shaw is a Bozeman native and University of Montana graduate with a B.F.A. in media arts. Her past life was spent designing for UM’s student paper, the Montana Kaimin, for two years. She specializes in graphic design and illustration, and dabbles in the news and reporting world. When she’s not behind the computer laying out the Enterprise, Jackie can be found hiking the scenic trails of Gallatin and Park counties.

Jason Bacaj, Reporter

Jason Bacaj joined The Enterprise in May 2021. He previously worked with The Seattle Times, Anniston Star and Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Bacaj grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and holds a journalism degree from Washington & Lee University and a master’s in creative writing (nonfiction) from the University of Montana.

Lydia Ely, Reporter

Lydia Ely joined The Enterprise in June 2021. She was born and raised in Seattle, Wash., where she studied Political Science and Communication at the University of Washington. While in school, she was the Photo Editor of The Daily of the University of Washington. In her free time, Ely is usually scheming her next camping trip or searching the thrift shops for old vinyl.
