New veterinarian on board at Colmey facility

Colmey Veterinary Hospital recently welcomed a new veterinarian to help with the work load after two veterinarians stepped down in late spring.

Steven Chase started at the veterinary facility a few weeks ago.

Chase received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.

Before starting full-time with Colmey, Chase worked since 2003 as a relief veterinarian at the animal hospital. As a relief vet, he filled in — mostly throughout rural areas in Wyoming and Montana — if the head vet was on vacation or had an emergency.

Chase is also an adjunct professor at Montana State University, where he teaches about livestock diseases.

The veterinarian said he is happy to be working in Livingston. He will be providing a number of services for dogs, horses and cats.
