Neptune’s Brewery is now offering delivery service

Neptune’s Brewery, Livingston’s first brewery, is now offering delivery in addition to its regular restaurant services.

The brewery began making deliveries Sunday, offering all the food on the menu to customers throughout Livingston. Co-owner Lauren Silano said the idea came about because the business slows down some during the winter, and with people wanting to stay home, it seemed easier to bring the food to them.

“There aren’t a lot of delivery options around here, so I thought people would like it,” Lauren said.

However, she did say the restaurant cannot deliver beer for liability reasons.

Silano said deliveries are also a way to keep the businesses’ two dishwashers busy during the slow season.

“Usually we have to lay them off because there is less for them to do,” she said.

The delivery service will continue throughout the winter and into April, when things start picking up again. Deliveries will resume again in October if things go well, Silano said.

Delivery hours vary. Monday through Thursday, they are made from noon to 3 p.m., and evenings from 4 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.; Fridays noon to 3 p.m.; Saturdays, no service; and Sundays, 4 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Deliveries are made only in Livingston city limits.
