The Mallard’s Rest fishing access site on the Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley is now open to the public after it was temporarily closed due to flooding conditions, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced.

Mallard’s Rest is located about 12 miles south of Livingston along U.S. Highway 89.

FWP will be monitoring water levels as the spring runoff continues. Additional closures at Mallard’s rest and other state fishing access sites may be necessary if flooding conditions return in the coming months, an FWP news release said.
