The Mainstreeter Thrift Store will be under new management starting March 1, but much of the business is staying the same.

Jan Lukenbill and her daughter Willow Bach Hanson will run the business, which is a Park County Senior Center operation, starting March 1.

Senior Center Director Heidi Barrett had been running the thrift store along with the center. She was finding over the last few months that running both was becoming to difficult, so she paired up with some of her staff to help with management, Barrett said.

“We still support the Senior Center,” said Lukenbill, who has worked in the store for a year and a half. Bach Hanson has prior management experience at another business.

Lukenbill said she didn’t want too much fanfare about the management change because she wants most of the business operation to stay the same. However, she said there will be a few changes, such as adding made-in Montana products and a consignment option. She also wants people to know about monthly sales.

As the month winds down, Lukenbill also said the business will be doing a book giveaway as the two women clear out some of the inventory.

“There were so many books,” Lukenbill said.

Mainstreeter Thrift Store is located on 202 S. Main St. The store is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
