Bank of the Rockies has adopted the entire month of June as Elder Abuse Awareness month. They are calling it our “Protecting our Aging Treasures” campaign and all six offices will be participating.

All employees have been given lapel pins that are in the shape of Montana and say “Protecting Our Aging Treasures” in purple writing with a purple ribbon. Purple is the awareness ribbon color.

June 15 is recognized by the World Health Organization as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The Bank of the Rockies is encouraging all employees to wear purple that day and many of our offices will have refreshments in the offices that day.

On June 16, Jennell Huff of the Bank of the Rockies will be doing a joint presentation with the Montana Assistant Attorney General Chuck Munson in Livingston at the Yellowstone Pioneer Lodge from noon to 2 p.m.

The bank is also taking advantage of the Bank’s Facebook page and are encouraging our employees to share photos of their influential elderly people in their lives.
