Livingston teacher wins Educator of the Year award

Park High School science teacher Natalie Davis McGrath was recently named the Montana Environmental Education Association 2017 Educator of the Year.  

The award is presented to a professional educator who has demonstrated service and leadership in the field of environmental educationaccording to a Park High School press release.

McGrath was nominated by Mark Greeno of The Friends of the Avalanche Center who has worked with McGrath on avalanche safety in Survival Science and Earth Science classes for several years. This year they collaborated on a winter field day with instructors from the Avalanche Center and the state hydrology office and taught students how to dig snow pits, search for avalanche beacons and check snow water equivalence, the release stated.
