Livingston’s Bob N Lu’s Thrift has a new name

A year after of their purchase of Bob N Lu’s Thrift on Main Street in downtown Livingston, Joe and Cassandra Weisgerber are giving the place a new name: Thrift Weis.

With the one-year anniversary coming up, they decided it was a good time to update the name and brand image, the Weisgerbers said in a recent news release.

“Everything about the store has been redone at this point, except the name,” they said. “We feel it’s time to really make it our own.”

The Weisgerbers chose Thrift Weis — pronounced “wise” — to incorporate their family name into the business.

“We want to set a standard for a different type of thrift store,” they stated in the release. “Very affordable prices, with a focus on being clean and organized, while maintaining strong community involvement.”

The official name change takes place Saturday, when the store holds its anniversary celebration.
