Grandparent’s Day and Harvest Dinner upcoming

The Shields Valley Senior Citizens potluck dinner starts at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the senior center in Wilsall. There will be readings and music.

A craft group meets at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Shields Valley Senior Center in Wilsall.

It is Grandparent’s Day from 9 a.m. through lunch Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Shields Valley Elementary School in Wilsall for kindergarten through sixth grade. Call the school at 578-2535 to make reservations to have lunch with your special student.

The fourth annual Shields Valley Farmers Market fund raiser Harvest Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Wilsall Dance Hall. The Harvest Dinner is an opportunity to celebrate the end of summer with family friends and neighbors.

The dinner, catered by Crazy Mountain Catering. will be followed by music and dancing with Open Range. The cost is $30 per person, $50 per couple, or $150 for a table of six. Children under 10 are free. Or join in the dancing at 7 p.m. for $8 per person. For more information or reservations call Skip or Nancy at 686-4051. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, Sept. 29. Tickets are not available at the door.

School Schedule

• Sept. 21: The junior high volleyball teams play in Big Timber starting at 4:15 p.m.

• Sept. 22: The junior high and high school football teams play Fromberg in Wilsall at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.

• Sept. 23: The junior high volleyball teams play in the Manhattan Christian Tournament; The high school volleyball teams play Gardiner starting at 5 p.m. in Clyde Park.

• Sept. 26: The junior high volleyball team plays the Livingston Sleeping Giant Middle School starting at 4:15  p.m. in Clyde Park.

• Sept. 28: Grandparents Day is in Wilsall from 9 a.m. through lunch. The high school volleyball teams play Lone Peak starting at 5 p.m. in Clyde Park.
