It’s not just a gardening business, its not just an organizing service and it’s not just a home care business — Kristie to the Rescue offers all of those services but much more as well.

The “lifestyle concierge” business, established by Kristie Wold, began while Wold was living in California a few years ago. While working for another company, Wold was offered a job of helping someone move for a little extra income. She soon realized the person was a bit of a hoarder, so the job became much bigger than she thought.

However, they were able to finish the project, and eventually she was able to help the person with other tasks such as grocery shopping and odd jobs around the house.

“It really got me in the mindset of doing jobs like that,” Wold said.

After moving to Montana a year and half ago, she continued finding jobs related to in-home assistance for seniors and some gardening around the county before eventually establishing her business here.

“Lifestyle concierge” is a term perhaps not well known in the area but Kristie said it has been used in California for some time.

“Its basically like when you go to a hotel and they direct you with anything you need. I want to do that for people,” Wold said, adding it is gaining popularity in big cities.

She said her services are available for anyone, including busy families and disabled people.

Although she also offers pet sitting, holiday decorations and rental preparations, her favorite job is organizing people’s closets and being able to use her label maker with it.

“I love my label maker,” she joked.

As she gets more jobs in the area, Wold hopes to expand to Gallatin County as well.
