Despite an early postseason ending for the Lady Rangers softball team, several individuals were acknowledged for their outstanding season-long efforts on the diamond.

Park High junior Paige Gavne received two of the highest prep athletic honors after being named as both an all-state and first team all-conference selection.

Park High junior Lindsay Lee and sophomore Skye Ingram made second team all-Central A for the Lady Rangers.

Gavne pitched 16 complete games throughout the regular season and divisional playoffs and threw for the Rangers’ junior varsity squad as needed. The junior ace tallied 58 strikeouts from the circle for the Rangers who went 8-14 overall for the 2017 season.

At the plate, Gavne maintained a .517 batting average and an .850 slugging percentage (number of bases divided by number at bats), including five home runs, 28 RBI and 21 runs scored for the Rangers. Gavne also had eight stolen bases.

For Ingram, this is her second-consecutive season as a second team all-conference pick for the Rangers. Ingram played multiple positions including shortstop, outfielder and pitcher. Ingram had 16 strikeouts in eight games on the mound.

On offense, the standout sophomore had three home runs, 12 RBI, 22 runs scored and 8 stolen bases for the Rangers, finishing the season with a .457 average and a .554 on-base percentage.

Lee also played a variety of positions including third base and shortstop and even filled in at catcher for the Rangers. Lee wrapped the ’17 season with a .367 average and a .471 OBP featuring two home runs, 16 RBI, four stolen bases and scored 22 runs for Park.

Gavne, Lee and Ingram will return to the Lady Rangers softball team next year.
