Gary Lee Fabian, 67, of Livingston, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018. The family asks that their privacy be respected at this time. A private service will be held.

Gary was born on Nov. 28, 1950 in Livingston, the son of George H. and Laverne (Greggerson) Fabian. Gary attended Livingston schools and was a Park County High School class of 1969 graduate. Following graduation, Gary moved to Billings and attended Billings Automotive Training Center where he graduated as an Automotive Technician in 1970. Following that, he moved back to Livingston where he began working for Burkland Studs. After two years he made a move to Garrison, Montana and worked at the Garrison Junction doing tire repair. It was there that he met Debbie Ray Wallace, the love of his life. They moved back to Livingston and on Oct. 16, 1971, they were united in marriage. They spent the next five years exploring ghost towns and going on many adventures together. In 1976 they began their family with the birth of a daughter, Dawn Marie. Their hearts were broken as Dawn did not survive the birth. But in 1977 they were blessed with the birth of a son, Elias; and in 1981 the birth of another daughter, Melisa. The family lived in Livingston for the following five years as they fixed up a place and then sold it. They were then able to purchase their land on the Wineglass, making that their forever home until this day.

Gary’s passion in life was the love for his family and his love of hunting. He savored every season out hunting elk and deer. He was an amazing mechanic, could fix anything under the sun and took great pride in that. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. You will be missed so much Gary, we love you dearly.

Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie; son Elias (Mandy); daughter Melisa; grandsons Cole and Jesse; and sister Lisa (Micah), all of Livingston. He will be missed by his dear friends Claud Nead and Bert Crawford, and his cousins in Troy, Montana as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Laverne Fabian; daughter Dawn Marie Fabian; brother Terry Fabian; and a favorite aunt, Ida Meyer.

Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be shared at www.Franzen-Davis.com.
