More than 170 children went to Sacajawea Park on Saturday for the annual kids fishing derby sponsored by the Livingston Fire Fighters Association. Overall, the children caught about 150 fish from the park’s lagoon, which was stocked with close to 2,100 fish, said Kevin Harrington, EMS director for the city. The association gave out prizes to children based on the largest and smallest fish. The grand champion was Hayden Gradchamp, who caught a 1 pound, 14.5 ounce trout. Roman Andresini was in first place at one pound, 11.6 ounces. Second place was Graessen Bowen at one pound, 11.1 ounces. Tatum Osen was in third at one pound, 11 ounces. The winners received $250, $175, $100 and $75 worth of merchandise, respectively. The donated items includes bicycles, camping and fishing gear. A.J. Zang caught the smallest fish at 1.7 ounces. “It was a beautiful day,” Harrington said. “Turnout was great.”
