Fifth local resident dies from COVID-19
A Park County resident in his 80s died from COVID-19 Christmas Day at Livingston HealthCare, the Park County Health Department announced Monday.
That marks the fifth death attributed to COVID-19 in the county.
“Our thoughts go out to the grieving family, friends, and community,” Park County Health Officer Dr. Laurel Desnick said in a press release. “We all mourn the loss of a valued Park County resident.”
As of Sunday, there were two people hospitalized with COVID-19 at Livingston HealthCare, according to the state of Montana’s hospital occupancy report.
There have been 927 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Montana, which has reported 79,999 total COVID-19 cases so far during the pandemic, including 5,591 active cases, according to the state of Montana’s COVID-19 case map.
In Park County, there have been 852 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to the state’s COVID-19 case map, 83 of which are active.
