Donald James (Don) Bullock

Donald James (Don) Bullock passed from this life on Aug. 8, 2018 in Reno, Nevada to join his wife Dee in the arms of our Lord.

Don was born Sept. 20, 1940 in Livingston to Ernest (Scotty) Bullock and Dagny (Miller) Bullock. He attended schools in Park County, Powell County, Richmond, Washington, and Madison County, where he was in the last graduating class of Virginia City in 1959.

Don joined the United States Marines in 1960. He married Delores (Dee) Edwards on Dec. 15, 1963. He worked on ranches throughout Montana, drove truck and built logging roads. In 1972 he went to Alaska and helped build the Alaska pipeline.

In 1979 he and Dee moved back to Livingston until moving to Elko, Nevada in 1983, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Anglo Gold until he retired. He and Dee then owned their own abstracting business in Silver Springs, Nevada.

Don was an accomplished horseman and loved roping.

Don was preceded in death by his father Ernest (Scotty) Bullock and mother Dagny Bullock, brothers George (Clem) Bullock, Robert (Bob) Bullock, and wife Dee. He is survived by his brothers Dallas (Ernie) (Nellie) Bullock of Livingston; Charles (Chuck) (Mickey) Bullock of Sterling, Alaska and Yuma, Arizona; Richard (Dick) (Sandy) Bullock of Ennis, Montana; sister Jean (Bullock) Jackson of Dillon, Montana and Yuma, Arizona; daughter Rhonda (Paul) McKenzie; son Scott Bullock; granddaughters Breezey Drayer and Stormy (Wes) Guzman; great grandchildren Aron and Alana Drayer, Zachary and Moryah Guzman, all of Reno, Nevada; and numerous nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at the Virginia City cemetery. Reception to follow at the Ennis Assembly of God. Please bring your memories and stories to share as we celebrate two lives well lived. Instead of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Don and Dee Bullock to the Alzheimer’s foundation.
