IN COURT

The following are Park County Justice Court proceedings.

BAD CHECKS

A 52-year-old Gardiner man pleaded not guilty Monday to issuing bad checks. He requested a jury trial and was released on own recognizance. He was cited May 8, 2014.

POSSESSION

Mark Heene, 61, of Seattle, pleaded guilty Monday to criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of release conditions. He was fined a total of $1,160. He was cited Friday.

A 42-year-old Belgrade man made an initial appearance Monday on charges of theft/obtaining control of stolen property, a felony; and criminal possession of dangerous drugs, also a felony. Bond was set at $25,000. He was cited Friday.

ASSAULT

A 33-year-old McLeod man pleaded not guilty Monday to partner or family member assault, first offense; and destruction or tampering of a communication device. He requested a jury trial and bond was set at $2,000. He was cited Sunday.

BURGLARY

A 20-year-old Livingston man made an initial appearance Tuesday on a felony burglary charge. He was released on his own recognizance. He was cited Feb. 8.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Trice Newsome, 21, of Billings, pleaded guilty Tuesday to unlawful possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, for which he was fined $75; mufflers defective or improper/noise, for which he was fined $85; driving under the influence, first offense, for which he was fined $885, ordered to enroll in the Assessment Course and Treatment (ACT) program, and sentenced to 15 days in jail with 14 days suspended; and operating without vehicle liability insurance in effect, second offense, for which he was fined $375 and had his registration and plates suspended for 90 days. He was cited Sunday.

TRAFFIC VIOLATION

A 20-year-old Gardiner man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to failure to give an approaching vehicle half of the roadway, and unlawful conduct by a cardholder. He requested a jury trial and was released on own his own recognizance. He was cited Feb. 20.
