• The Livingston Wheels Motoring Club & the Livingston Area Chamber is hosting the 13th annual Windbreaker Swap Meet from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the Park County Fairgrounds. Discussion meetings on everything from life changes to cancer are held the third Sunday of the month at 401 Main St. in Gardiner. The next meeting will take place on March 15. For more information, call 223-5357.

 

A support group for the blind and visually impaired will meet at noon on the third Wednesday of each month in the basement of the Livingston-Park County Public Library, 228 W. Callender St. The next meeting will take place on March 18, with a low-vision equipment demonstration being held at 10 a.m., followed by the regular support group at noon. The Livingston Food Resource Center (LFRC) will be hosting an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 20 at the LFRC Community Room, 202 S. Second St. The grand opening of the Livingston Community Bakery located at 119 S. Second St. will be held in conjunction with this event, with a “bread cutting” at 4 p.m. The event will include program information, tours of both facilities, music and light refreshments. Paradise Permaculture Institute is hosting several upcoming workshops: Permaculture on Wednesdays beginning on March 4 (6 p.m.-8:30 p.m., $99); Creating Medicinal Gardens on Thursday, March 12 (6 p.m.-9 p.m., $25) or Saturday, March 14 (9 a.m.-noon, $25); and Composting Outhouses, Dry Toilets & Cordwood Construction on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 (8 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, $200).
