• Livingston HealthCare Hospice invites the community to its annual Tree of Life Ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Livingston Depot Center.

 

Medicare 101, a free seminar for understanding Medicare, will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Livingston-Park County Public Library. Medicare 101 will be presented by agent Tony Noble of A.E. Noble & Associates. Participants will learn the basics, including when and how to enroll, and how to prepare for annual enrollment. The 37th annual Livingston Community Christmas Dinner will be held at noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25 at the Civic Center. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a home-cooked Christmas dinner. There is also a few ways to give back during the dinner — the community can help with decorations and setup, delivering dinners, getting participants rides to the dinner, or cleanup. The Livingston School District is hosting free Child Find screenings from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the fourth Friday of every month at the Livingston-Park County Public Library, 228 W. Callender St. The next screening is Friday, Dec. 27. The screenings are for children ages 3 to 6 with suspected delays. Screenings are conducted by professional staff in areas of cognition, fine/gross motor coordination, speech and language development, vision and hearing. The Fly Fishers International Museum is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Fridays. The museum preserves the history of fly fishing through artifacts that have been collected over the years and are on display at the museum, such as a prototype of the first fiberglass fishing rod ever made, historic wallets, creels, reels, rods and unique fly plates.
