An internship for a Park County high school student will be available this summer at the Livingston-Park County Public Library. The summer intern will work 12 hours per week for eight weeks and will receive a stipend of $775, made possible through the Friends of the Library and the Yellowstone Club. Applicants must be Park County residents between 16 and 19 years old. Homeschooled, as well as traditionally enrolled high school students, are encouraged to apply. Each applicant must submit a completed packet of information to be considered. The packet includes an application form, a record of high school grades, and a signed letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, counselor or other qualified adult. Application forms are available at the library and at livingstonparkcountylibrary.blogspot.com. The application deadline is Friday, May 21.

 

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering a $1,400 scholarship available to female students, with established residence, from Park County, MT and Mammoth Hot Springs.  Applicants must be entering their sophomore, junior, senior year of college or graduate students.  Applications are due June 20, 2021. Stafford Animal Shelter is in need of foster families for young kittens. Instruction is available to learn to administer medication, bottle feed and give fluids, etc. Email Alicia at adavis@staffordanimalshelter.org for details.
