Braves drop pair of games to open tourney

The Livingston Braves lost both games they played yesterday, the opening day of this weekend’s Belgrade Tournament.

Belgrade is the host site of the 2015 Class A South District Tournament, and the Braves played the host Bandits in their second game of the day, losing 5-3. The Braves dropped the opener to Northern Lakes, a team from Idaho, 7-0.

“I’m a little disappointed with some errors and lack of hitting from the team,” said head coach Rich Spallone. “We’ve been having some key errors in key moments that are pretty much costing us the win.”

Livingston managed just four hits in the loss to Northern Lakes, two of which came off of the bat of Jordan Darr, who went 2-for-3. ...
