Beryl Lambert Foltz

Beryl Lambert Foltz, 92, longtime Park County resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Livingston HealthCare Hospital. 

She was the daughter of Henry Scott and Hattie (Lyons) Lambert. They were ranchers who homesteaded on Deep Creek. Beryl was born in 1922 on the homestead. She attended a single-room school in the same area. Beryl graduated in 1940, from Park High School. Upon graduating, Beryl moved to St. Louis during the war years. Beryl went on to attend Mrs. Thomas Comptometer School in Spokane, where she resided and worked for a period of time.

Upon returning to Livingston, she worked for Northern Pacific Railroad in the accounting office for six years. She met and married George Foltz in 1949, and this union lasted for 50 years. George and Beryl owned and operated the G Street Grocery Store from 1963 through 1974.

Beryl is survived by a daughter Rena Tarum, of Portland, Oregon; a thoughtful niece, Bobby Brekhus, of Billings, Montana; niece Janet Vangorp, of Kingston, Missouri; and friend Penny S. Willyerd, of Livingston.

A public service is not planned. Interment will take place at Shorthill Cemetery.
