Preparations are underway for the Perfect Pairings Party, a fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Park and Sweet Grass Counties as it celebrates 40 years in the area.

This year’s event is scheduled for Friday Oct. 20 at the Livingston Depot Center. The event will include a four course dinner prepared by Chef Hans Friedmann, paired wines with each course, and an array of auction and raffle items. Part of the celebration will be to honor the Big Brother of the Year, Tim Anderson, and Big Sister of the Year, Jeanine Dashnaw, according to the BBBS release.

Tim has played significant roles with BBBS for over 14 years. He was matched in 2003 with his first “Little Brother” Devon from when Devon was very young up through Devon’s high school graduation. They formed a close bond through all of the years and to this day are still in regular contact and see each other each time Devon is home from college. Tim has now been in his second match with Hunter for the past three years. Together Hunter and Tim like to go four wheeling, work on projects at Tim’s family cabin, go to the movies and ice fishing.

Hunter recently said in the news release, “I really like Tim. We do cool stuff together and he’s nice”.

Tim has also served on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors since 2008 and can always be seen lending a helping hand at our special events and group activities.

Jeanine has been involved with BBBS since 2013. She was matched with her first Little Sister, Whitney, for two years until Whitney graduated high school. As a teen Whitney was raised by her grandmother and wanted a Big Sister to have a woman to talk to. Whitney and Jeanine spent time basket weaving, grooming horses, going out to eat and simply enjoying each other’s company.  Jeanine has now been in her second match with Kyla for the past two years.  Jeanine describes her relationship with Kyla as “two peas in a pod”. They both love to rock hound, craft, go on road trips to pretty places and are up for just about anything when they are together.

According to the release, Kyla told BBBS that she loves Jeanine because she knows that no matter what happens at school or at home, every weekend Jeanine will be there to pick her up and have some kind of fun adventure together whether it’s at home doing a craft or driving to The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone.

Celebrating 40 years in Park County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Park and Sweet Grass Counties is 100 percent locally funded thanks to the generosity of the community and events like the Perfect Pairings Party. Tickets are on sale for $60 each or a table of guests for $480. Tickets can be purchased by going to bbbsparkcounty.org or calling 222-1930.
