ASPEN launches summer “Lunch and Learn” series

The Abuse Support & Prevention Education Network, or ASPEN, will have its first “Lunch and Learn” from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27 at the Livingston Food Resource Center as part of the nonprofit’s Violence Prevention Summer Lunch and Learn Series.

The events are free and will provide free lunch with registration. Each event will take place from noon to 1 p.m.

The Lunch and Learn is part of a series that will offer events throughout the summer. The nonprofit will offer four opportunities for information and discussion on topics surrounding violence prevention.

The event will discuss the topic of understanding victim blaming on Wednesday, June 27. ASPEN will speak on active listening as a communication technique on Tuesday, July 24. A presentation and discussion on media and violence will take place on Wednesday, August 22. ASPEN will discuss the topic of human trafficking in Montana on Wednesday, September 26.
