The Abuse Support and Prevention Education Network will host its 9th Annual Soup to End the Silence fundraiser on starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at the Depot Center in Livingston. Adult price is $20 per person and $10 per child age 6 years and up, free for children age 5 and under, according to an ASPEN press release. Tickets can be purchased by calling ASPEN at 222-5902, ext. 2 or at www.aspenmt.org/events.

The event will feature soups, breads, and desserts donated by local businesses, music by Dave Eaton, roaming magicians, an open beer and wine bar, and silent auction packages from local businesses and artisans, according to the release. Chrystina Katz and Joannah Rice will highlight their stories of abuse and how ultimately they were able to escape their abusers and rebuild their lives. Both Katz and Rice are members of Bozeman Haven’s speakers’ bureau called End the Silence.

“ASPEN is proud to bring these stories to the Livingston community,” said Executive Director Heidi Barrett. “The event provides the audience with personal accounts of courage and resiliency while highlighting the importance of groups like ASPEN.
