Notice of Close of Regular Voter Registration and Option for Late Registration Notice is hereby given that regular* registration for the Cooke Pass, Cooke City, Silver Gate County Water/Sewer District Board of Directors Election to be held on May 2rd, 2023, will close at 5:00 p.m., on April 3rd, 2023. Ballots will be sent out April 12th, 2023 and must be in the Election Office (not postmarked) by Election Day, May 2nd, 2023 8pm. Candidates to appear on the ballot are Jenny Heckathorn, Deborah Purvis, Robert Dean Smith and Lilly Tuholske. Write-in options are Matthew Clawson and William Grover. *NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day to pick up and vote a ballot. All active and inactive**electors of the Cooke Pass, Cooke City, Silver Gate County Water/Sewer District are entitled to vote in said election. In a water and/or sewer district election, an elector need not be registered to vote in Park County provided they qualify by being 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States and: an owner of taxable real property within the boundaries of the proposed or existing district or, if the property is owned by more than one person, an agent designated by the owners; an individual listed in 13-1-506 representing a corporation or company that owns taxable real property within the boundaries of the proposed or existing district; or a designated agent for a property held in trust within the boundaries of the proposed or existing district. Proof of voter registration along with proof of payment of taxes must be received in the election office by Friday, April 7th, 2023 to be eligible to vote. If you are a registered voter and do not receive a ballot, contact the county election office to update your information as necessary and receive a ballot. Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing at the Park County Election Office: 414 E Callender St., Livingston, MT. If you have moved, please update your registration information by filling out a new voter registration card and submitting it to the county election office.
