A deputy with the Park County Sheriff’s Office was promoted from corporal to sergeant on Tuesday, after working in the department for 13 years.
Sgt. Steve Voss went through an extensive testing and interviewing process to earn his promotion, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.
To qualify for the position, an officer in the department must have worked in law enforcement for at least five years.
Voss had to answer a series of questions in a letter detailing the responsibilities of a sergeant and what qualities he could bring to the position.
