The Hoot crowds crammed into Main Street Thursday night with an estimated turnout of over 10,000 people.
The third annual Hoot festival in downtown Livingston saw crowds jump from 6,000 people last year to 10,000 to 12,000 this year, Hoot coproducer Joanne Gardner said.
“The first block was packed, the second block was packed and Callender and the alleyways were also full of people,” Gardner said.
She said she was surprised by the number of people and thought another 1,000 people might not be able to fit in the area.
