Voters approve Livingston school levies
Livingston voters on Tuesday approved two school levies that will pay for improvements in the district's elementary and middle school, as well as maintaining current operating levels at the high school, according to unofficial election results.
The $1.6 million elementary levy, which will be paid off over five years, passed comfortably with a margin of about 250 votes, while the $194,000 annual Park High School general fund levy squeaked by with a margin of about 20 votes.
About 1,673 people voted in the election.
Official results will be announced and approved at the May 13 School Board meeting. Tally sheets from the election will also be made available at the meeting as well as on the Livingston School District's website.
