Eight file for Livingston School District Board seats

Election set for May 8

Eight candidates are running for three seats on the Livingston School District #4 Board.

Filing for open school board seats closed Thursday. Elections will be held May 8. The top three vote-getters will win the seats, Livingston School District Business Director Sarah Sandberg said Friday morning.

Board members George Bornemann, Sandra Rahn-Gibson and Meagan Lannan are all seeking re-election in a race against challengers Dean Moore, Tammy Lewis, Christopher Miller, Bruce Kron and Tom Shellenberg.

All are Livingston residents. Those who win the contested seats will vote on matters that affect Livingston’s elementary and high school students.

All Montana school districts follow an election timeline set by state law. Park County’s other school districts also have open seats this election cycle.
